Golden Horn Light Railway Crossing Bridge is Expanding with the Warmth of Vefa.
600 people starting work to join both sides of Golden Horn together.
Vefa Pre-Fabricated Constructions, which is one of important players of the sector with the solution partnerships that it has set up in more than 30 countries around the world and in Turkey as being the leading one, is proud to take place actively in one of most important projects of Istanbul, which is the European Cultural Capital for 2010. “Golden Horn Light Railway Bridge”, which will bear the shoulder mark of being the first Light Railway Crossing Bridge of Turkey, will join two sides of the Golden Horn with the Vefa assurance. We call this the Vefa Assurance and this is because, approximately 600 successful people, who work as engineers, architects and workers at the Golden Horn Bridge construction, shall live in perfect living quarters for a duration of 16 months, which is erected by “Vefa”.
It will be in service in 2011
Golden Horn Light Railway Bridge, which has been jointly undertaken by Italian giant Astaldi that has put its signature in many world scale large projects and by Gulermak that is one of the strong brands of Turkey, exhibits unique architecture as well as advanced technology. It is planned that the Golden Horn Light Railway Bridge, which has been designed in a way that it would cast shadow on the unique view of the Suleymaniye Mosque that is one of most important elements of the Historical Peninsula silhouette, will be completed within 16 months. It is expected that Golden Horn Light Railway Bridge, which will cost 146 Million Euro, will start with its services during 2011 and ease the traffic of Historical Peninsula in great deal.
Construction Site Area is 3000 m²
The living quarters, which has been set up by Vefa Pre-Fabricated Constructions on the Kasimpasa side of the project, is located within a area of 3000 m². There are offices with 900 m² and 333 m² areas, administrative personnel cafeteria (273 m²), workers cafeteria (373 m²), dormitory for engineers (260 m²) and two storey dormitory for workers (714 m²’), which have been produced with powder coated sheet metal system, in the site that has been set up by considering workforce of 600 strong.
