Steelife is continuing with its technological investments

Steelife has added a system, which had not been available in Turkey, in to its machinery equipment list by carrying out one more new technological investment despite the crises. The aim here is to increase more the resistance and the stability of the buildings produced.

Steelife, which is the leader of steel construction system that leaves all of the other technologies behind with its confidence against earthquake, is continuing with its investments despite the economical crises that is faced. The most important feature of the new system is the fact that it is used by Steelife for the first time in Turkey. Steelife, which has brought in Turkey the new system that has been developed in the USA, where the steel construction technology is used widely and whose software power has been developed in Australia with the works that have been carried out, has contributed to the fact that the products it produces became longer lasting and more durable as well as it had caused for its capacity to increase.

One of the most important contributions that the CAD / CAM controlled wall profile machinery system, which has been placed on the Steelife production line, is the change of the system on the intermediate connections, which provide for the increase of the resistance of the buildings. According to this, C profiles have replaced the U profiles that have been used for intermediate connection elements. The other benefit has came about as the implementation of the deep settling on the connection points of the construction profiles that are produced in the system. In this way, it has been possible for the OSB on the façade that is worn over the construction to be connected with bolts as the alternative to the system that is used with screws for connection to the profiles in order to provide for full contact for the materials like the plaster board.

While the Vefa Group Investments Manager, Metin Celebi was talking about the benefits that the new system provides, he has mentioned that the bolt head becomes level with the profile surface due to the deep settling and underlined that 50% better rupture resistance has been obtained when compared to the connection with screw. Mechanical Engineer, Metin Celebi, who states that the connection with bolt provides more advantage when it is compared with the connection with screw, has continued that as the fore most, the negative points that can be created by the weakness might occur with time on the drill bit bolt has been prevented. Metin Celebi, who has underlined that this innovation does not mean the buildings that have used screw connections are unsafe and further emphasized that the aim is to eliminate the negative issues that might occur in long periods of time and to provide for more resistance on the buildings, which are already in line with the requirements of the standards. As the last point, Celebi has mentioned that the width adjustment of the C profiles between 50 and 250 mm is carried out in complete automated way due to the new system and paid attention to the contributions it provides for the production capacity and the line speed of Steelife.
